Hiraeth is an enchanting world filled with magic, menace, and majesty! It features fascinating flora and fauna, and unique government structures that include both monarchs and sorcerers. Hiraeth is a world not only accepting of magic, but thriving because of it.
Hiraeth is also the home world of the legendary Kingdom of Camelot. You'll find brave knights, castles, armor, swords and axes. But you'll also find clever tech that aids daily life in the most advanced of the Kingdoms of Hiraeth.
Related stories will find characters from Earth, Hiraeth, and Avalon crossing paths. If you love Arthurian legend, then you'll love exploring how the mythology brings characters across different timelines and worlds to share in the vision of Camelot.

As you may have guessed, this site is all about stories. Get a sense of what's to come in The Immortal King Trilogy by reading short stories as well as peruse through associated artwork of characters.
As this map suggests there are dragons on Hiraeth, though the one above the world name is decorative and not to scale (they don't grow them quite that big!). The name Pendragon here means "stewards of dragons," and they have a unique bond with the many different varieties of sub species. They can be found on land, sea, mountain tops, caves, and forests. On Hiraeth, a traveler must tread lightly lest they invite a scaly audience to dinner unannounced...or become their dinner.
The Kingdom of Camelot spans the NE continent, stretching beyond the Vidist (also known as The Phantom Ground) all the way up to the NE Isles and running as far south as Marlac. Its western borders come up against the warring Kingdom of Mordred. The Pendragon family line rules by the might of Excalibur and control over the Kemplings (a strange four-legged creature that makes up their treasury).
The native people of Nomandia (Nomandians) are said to have derived from the beautiful and mysterious Fae, a race with organic magic. Nomandians keep to their protected cities as their numbers have depleted in modern times and thieves, mercenaries and slave owners seek them for both their power and immense beauty. The lands of Nomandia hold untold savage magic, making for dangerous crossing, especially for those of the cultured Kingdom of Camelot.
The Path of Avalon is a secret place known only to Merlyn and later to those he deems trustworthy. The waters that run to and from the roots of the tree may heal a Triwyn, both body and mind. Though this location is not literally Avalon (as Avalon is another world entirely - perhaps their afterlife?), it represents the path there. It is here that the prophecy of the Immortal King was given to Merlyn and transcribed. It is here where the Oath of Avalon, a sacred agreement between Sorcerers of the Court and the King of Camelot, is made whereby the oathmakers agree to bring Hiraeth to its Avalonian destiny.
Kemplings – These odd cattle-like beasts have large beaks to feed on fruits that grow high in trees, as well as graze on thick bamboo-like plants. They are four-legged and have long, sharp quills along their backs. They become particularly aggressive if they get a taste of meat. So unmanageably aggressive in fact that they must be put down. Why then do the Pendragon rulers keep a herd of thousands of them in a valley between the mountains just North of Camelot's stronghold? Because the linings of their stomachs, when processed, are used as currency in the Kingdom of Camelot. After all, why would you need a gold backed (or other precious metal) money system when your currency itself has incredible healing abilities?
The Round Table – The one noted on the Kingdom of Camelot map is a historic site that is protected by the Pendragons. It is related to the Pendragons first dealings with the Lady of the Lake and Excalibur. During the time of King Arthur, he has a larger replica made and placed inside the castle meeting room. The round table being the perfect gathering place for all to express their opinions openly and without regard to ranking. There is no head and no foot, just one equal round without end.
Questing Beast – A problematic beast that destroys homes, cattle, vegetation, and lays waste to cities. Its appearance is a mystery as no one has lived to tell the tale. It dwells in the Cave of Enchantment until a disturbance of balance awakens it to destroy the unworthy sovereign and usher in a new age. Whenever this occurs, only the Sorcerers can stop the Questing Beast from advancing on this destructive path.
Merlyn's Tower – Near the Pendragon Castle in the center of Camelot's stronghold lies Merlyn's Tower. This soaring structure has many levels, the uppermost levels of which are reserved for the precious archives of Camelot. Here Merlyn spends most of his time reading, writing, and protecting history.
This is just a preview of what's unique about Hiraeth. I'll be adding to this page as well as discussing details of my world and associated stories via my blog.
My first planned series set on Hiraeth is The Immortal King trilogy.
Hiraeth is the home world of the legendary Camelot. And as such, you'll find the usual players -Merlyn, King Arthur, Morgana, Lancelot, Guinevere, etc. But don't expect the typical story of the orphan boy pulling a sword from the stone to become King.
In the Immortal King Trilogy the story begins on modern Earth then portals to Hiraeth following characters from both worlds as they collide to defeat the enemies of Camelot. Expect plenty of action, romance, plot twists, dangerous creatures and magic throughout the series.
The Immortal King Trilogy:
Book One: Eye of the Oracle
Book Two: Kings of Camelot
Book Three: Bitter Blood
Eye of the Oracle, Book One in The Immortal King series, will be presented as serialized Web Fiction free to read on my site. Start by reading the five character intro stories by clicking the button below. At the end of Brenna Scott's story, click the link to continue the story to Episode 01 of Eye of the Oracle. I'll be adding new episodes regularly, so be sure to sign up to be notified as soon as they post!
"Everything can change in the blink of an Eye..."
After college freshman Ryan Mallory’s long-time love Nora dumps him in the middle of a crowded campus cafe, he is visited by the beautiful and mysterious Oracle. She pleads for his help to release her from an inter-dimensional Void where Merlyn trapped her almost 2,000 years ago. Ryan learns he is a Pendragon heir and if he can evade Merlyn's Knights, the Oracle promises to show him where the legendary sword of King Arthur is hidden; it is also the key to opening a portal by which she may return to Earth and destroy Merlyn's corrupt Network of Knights (NOK). Ryan must make a decision before Merlyn's Knights discover the true plan, all while unexpectedly falling for his gaming partner BlackEyedBee.
Melissa (Lissa) Pyle has lost some of the adventurous spark she once had until she begins playing an elaborate online Camelot-themed video game, Excalibur Rising (ER). Teaming up with another avid gamer, known as ShadowNinja, Lissa learns that Ninja is being dream contacted by a mystical entity. She believes him and wants to help as she’s seen something like this before. Since then, it’s been her wish to be real with him, trust he’ll be cool with her supernatural secrets too. And the odd thing about her wishes? They always come true.
Meanwhile, recently hired high school history teacher, Dustin White, is offered an opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to become a real Knight, under the legendary wizard mentor of Kings, Merlyn himself. Field Agent and Knight, Brenna Scott, volunteers to bring in the new recruit, leaving the field in order to train him in NOK's specialties, namely, fighting anything otherworldly or paranormal, including Oracles.
After dumping Ryan, Nora Howard's job at a prestigious country club-Mirror Greens- takes a sharp turn when she overhears her boss using coded language and finds out they are tracking something about her 'Aura.’ Trying to clear her fevered mind of nightmares that plagued her in the months leading up to her breakup with Ryan, Nora struggles to investigate what Mirror Greens is covering up behind its glossy veneer all while searching for clues about her Aunt's mysterious disappearance seven years ago.
Some are team Oracle and others team Merlyn. But will they be able to decipher the truth before it's too late?
